ECONOMIC IMPACT

MEC is more than a cultural celebration. It is a community-focused initiative that contributes to inclusive economic and social development. By attracting visitors, partners, and media attention, MEC supports local sectors such as arts and culture, hospitality, creative industries, and event services, generating positive ripple effects within the host cities.

Hosted in major Canadian cities, MEC helps strengthen local economies while providing participants with leadership development, mentorship, and entrepreneurial exposure. These opportunities enable young women to build confidence, skills, and pathways toward long-term economic participation and civic leadership.

For public institutions, funders, and community partners, supporting MEC represents an investment in equity, inclusion, cultural vitality, and sustainable community growth. MEC advances leadership, social impact, and opportunity, uplifting women, broadening representation, and contributing to a more inclusive and resilient Canada.
